1.
For good luck and marriage: First, obtain some joss ashes from any big
temple or monastery and place the ashes into the bottle that contains
jequirity beads, pearls, and colored-threads. Properly seal the cover,
then hang it on your bag or place it on your worktable. (“the law of
marriage” extracted from Taoist Lingbao Code)
2.
For wealth: On specific days, one may take the jequirity beads out of
the bottle and put them in his/her piggy bank or purse. This is known as
“money bearer” and is best used for businessmen and shopkeepers.

Jequirity Lovers Bottle (containing a pair of love beads, bound in
7-colored threads) – NT399 |
Hearts in Unity
are heart-shaped jequirity beads strung into a pentagonal shape. With an
opening in the middle, the adornment looks like the Chinese character “合”,
which implies “unity”, meaning that one can be wholeheartedly devoted to
one’s work or to one’s loved ones. Hearts in Unity is best used to
promote social relations and personal popularity.
Note: According to folk beliefs, to enjoy better marital relationships,
couples can pray to the Tanabata Empress on Chinese Lovers Day and then
wear the Hearts in Unity or hang them at the head of their bed. |
The Key of Hope
A Lucky Star is made of various gemstones. The different colored
stones are used to represent different wishes. The Star carries the
meaning of hope, so by wearing it on your body, it will lead you on your
journey and help you to accomplish your ultimate goal.
|
According to the Great Compassion Dharani, “the Path to Gaining Merits”
is translated as “immeasurable accomplishments.”The image shown in the
Sutra is a mascot for luck, which means richness forever. Therefore, we
bind jequirity beads together to form a grape-like cluster representing
eternal wealth.
Note: You may pray to the God of Earth to seek good fortune on the
second day of the second lunar month, and your wishes will soon come
true. |

(Hu-Lu in Chinese transliteration) |
Lucky bracelet: A bracelet made of two “hearts” and three “stars.” The stars symbolize wealth, prosperity, and longevity; whereas the hearts represent proficiency in all undertakings. The two together represent happiness. |
The Eye of Preciousness
A Dzi-eye Bead
is placed at the center of the Wheel of Vajra. Its boundless rays of
light shine on darkness and doubt, and dispel malignant spirits.
Note: As recorded in some Daoist sutras, one can pray to the Seven Stars
on the Double-nine Festival to avoid lawsuits and clear one’s good name.
|
Fire-wheel:
Various forms of the Fire-wheel are made of jequirity beads and
five-colored gemstones. Wind is said to aid fire and prolong combustion.
The Dzi-eye Bead added in the center symbolizes the third eye that
enables a person to see everything in the world; therefore, no one can
deceive him/her. The Fire-wheel is suitable for people of all walks of
life, especially for those who are involved in businesses or careers
that require frequent changes.

Lucky Dragon’s Pearl:
A twelve-faceted, spherically-shaped Lucky Dragon’s Pearl strung with
jequirity beads and gemstone, with each facet formed by five jequirity
beads, and a gemstone embedded in the center. We named it Lucky Dragon’s
Pearl because the magnetic field of the gemstone can attract dragons
from the twelve directions.
For a businessperson, it is best to hang a Lucky Dragon’s Pearl over the
main entrance of one’s place of business. In Mandarin, the word “dragon”
is pronounced “loong,” which has the same pronunciation as the second
character of the phrase “xing long,” which means prosperity. The Chinese
believe that the Dragon Pearl brings about prosperity because it
attracts dragons, a symbol of wealth and good fortune. |
Made of five colored gemstones, The Pearl of the God of Wealth
represents good luck and riches. The five colored gemstones symbolize
the “Five astro-directions” that attract wealth.
Each color is formed by seven beads, and each of the seven beads
represents the Chakra of the Seven Stars – protection, fortune, wealth,
longevity, joy, unceasing renewal, and vitality.
The “Five astro-directions” |
God of Wealth of the Heaven and the Earth |
Turning the Five Felicities: (i.e. longevity, wealth, peace, virtue, and peaceful death)
We use jequirity beads and five-colored gemstones to create a wide
assortment of accessories. The five-colored gemstones represent the Five
Elements in Chinese philosophy (wood, fire, earth, metal, water) that
generate each other. Therefore, this means that there shall be no
shortage of whatever you need. Furthermore, each of the five colors
represents different sources of energy that guard you against harm from
different kinds of people and dangers, and ultimately lead you to your
goal.
Note: You may pray to the Lord Emperor Shennong or
Bhaisajyaguru (literally known as
Medicine Buddha) during the fifth lunar month for protection against
insects and diseases, illness, and confusion. |
